Cabana Boats Launch: A Stylish Escape on Water at Willen Lake: A Celebration of Vision, Friendship & Luxury Leisure

Fatima and Jai On Thursday, 13th June, TurningPoint: Music and Lifestyle Magazine were invited to the exclusive launch of Cabana Boats at Willen Lake in Milton Keynes — a first-of-its-kind experience bringing together nature, luxury, fun and community in a unique floating BBQ concept. The day was sunny, warm and a really great day for an adventure such as this. We met Jai Khan at the meeting point in Paddington at 3.30pm. There was a nice feel to the group who were travelling down together, anticipation, curiosity and Jai was ever so hospitable.

Once we got to Willen Lake, guests were welcomed with refreshing drinks, floral garlands, and a fun and happy atmosphere, with music setting the tone courtesy of the DJ.

Hosted by Fatima, of Cabana Boats dentist and entrepreneur, the event was a vibrant celebration of hard work and passion. Her warm demeanour and short and heartfelt speech created an atmosphere of inspiration, making the event not just a celebration, but a reflection of the values she upholds—commitment, excellence, and hard work. The Mayor of Milton Keynes, also gave a short speech and in a ribbon cutting ceremony, officially opened Cabana Boats to the public.

With the red carpet rolled out, this gave guests the opportunity to pose for photos in front of the Cabana backdrop, some playful, others a little more serious 'Im on Candid Camera'.

BBQ Pack

The true highlight was the floating BBQ experience. Guests boarded these innovative, self-drive electric boats which are designed to offer a completely unique on-water experience, combining leisure cruising with the enjoyment of outdoor dining. Everyone was adorned with life vests and equipped with central grills and enjoyed deliciously seasoned food while drifting peacefully across the lake. This created a beautiful relaxing dining experience. The BBQ was provided in boxes and sponsored by Maya Khan Restaurant, a Milton Keynes culinary gem. We were curious, and hungry as to what was inside the BBQ Packs. The BBQ Packs included: Chicken Shaslik, Paneer Tikka, Tandoori Chicken (On the bone), Chicken Wings (on the bone), Lamb Chops (on the bone. And the bags contained: Raw greens and Mint Yogurt Dip, Paneer Tikka for vegetarians.

On our boat, there was singing, joking, laughing and music. Generally I got the feeling that everyone was having a great time, and enjoying the evening. This was a great way to enjoy a day out with friends, family or to simply dine on your own if you needed to take time out from the world, with nature as your earpeice.

We would like to express our gratitude to Jai Khan — 3-time World International Pageant winner, international model, actress, social media influencer, and Zee89TV journalist — who hosted our group of special guests from London. Her co-ordination, effort and hospitality in organising transport to Milton Keynes and promoting the event was a beautiful demonstration of friendship and support for Fatima’s vision.

This was more than a launch — it was a symbol of collaboration, adventure and curating a unique experience for those ready for something different and new. The Cabana Sail & Dine experience is now open to the public and we recommend it for those looking for a truly unique day out. The staff who looked after us and served us were wonderful. Big smiles, great conversations made the experience even more wonderful.
